Snowhead represents the third stage of grief--bargaining.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Darmani is a fallen Goron warrior whose ghost roams Snowhead aimlessly. He wants nothing more than to be alive again and help his tribe.

"As I am, I can only watch as Goron Village is slowly buried in ice…I may have died, but I cannot rest. So, you can use magic? The soaring one also told me that you are able to use it… I beg you! Bring me back to life with your magic!"

All Link can do is heal the poor Goron, who is able to pass peacefully to the great beyond.

I was originally planning to incorporate various characters from Snowhead in this piece, but changed my mind. I wanted to focus on Darmani and his unrest, emotion, and wish to be whole again.

Enjoy.

To be honest, I had this deviation hidden away in my messages for the longest time now. I couldn't delete it, and I wanted to make sure I could go back to it later with the comment that it deserves.

This, has to be one of my favorite Majora's Mask pieces (and I have more than I'm willing to admit :giggle: ). It's one of those pieces where you never really see. There's a lot of fanart for the game, and a lot of damn good ones at that, but not a lot of them focus on the loss and emotion that's so prominent in that game, which is one of the reasons why Majora's Mask is my favorite: the emotion. The pain. This piece, however, very plainly shows that. Not only is this just beautiful, with all the details, the composition, the posing, the softer, muted colors, but there is a sadness here, too. I can look at this and feel Darmani's pain; not a lot of artists can convey that so strongly.
All that aside, this is stunning in every way, and is all the more impressive being done traditionally. If I had the option, I would proudly have this hanging on my wall with my Zelda posters :D

Oh, and this deserves far more attention :stare:

Thank you so much <3 That really means a lot to me! I haven't been able to continue this series because I've been so busy with school, but your encouragement is really inspirational to me. Thanks again, this made my night.

You're absolutely welcome! :love: That's understandable, unfortunately life gets in the way of our work :( Hopefully sometime soon you'll get a break long enough to continue the series, I would just adore to see the other two in your style! :love: And I'm glad I could be of some help, darling! You really deserve the praise! :huggle:

Sorry for such a late reply, by the way! ^^;
